Guanacaste Costa Rica Beaches

The small bay of Bahía Culebra is located just North of the town of Playas del Coco. The bay's waters holds an abundance of fish and corals. There are a number of stunning beaches some of which are quiet popular, while others await discovery. Papagayo Gulf is home to Costa Rica's newly developing tourism center with beaches only 20 minutes from the Liberia International Airport.

 

Playas del Coco is a colorful fishing town set in a deep cove with consistently calm waters, which it makes a safe swimming beach. Playas del Coco offers visitors an unlimited amount of options, whether you enjoy scuba diving, fine dining, shopping, water sports, sailing, sport fishing or just soaking up the gold coast.  Located only 30 minutes from Liberia International Airport, Playas del Coco is without a doubt, a destination of choice.

 

Playa Ocotal is set in a similar yet smaller bay, located to the south of Playas del Coco. You can enjoy a quieter, more natural setting.  Luxurious villas and houses dot the hillsides of the Papagayo Peninsula overlooking the incredible oceanview and volcanic sand beach.  Though the beach is a pleasant place to relax, most of the people who stay at Ocotal use it as a base for scuba diving, snorkeling and Papagayo Fishing Charters.

Playa Hermosa guanacaste is backed by tropical dry forest and washed by the aquamarine water of Culebra Bay. Because the bay's waters are always tranquil, this beach offers excellent conditions for swimming and windsurfing. Some of the countries newest luxury hotels are overlooked from this beach and Panama Beach in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

 

Or better known as Bahía Pez Vela, this is a dark sand beach located south from Ocotal Beach, and set in a very secluded bay.  Here you will experience all of the peacefulness that you have dreamed of, surrounded by mountains, the fresh breeze of the ocean and the singing of the birds and monkeys.

The beach of Panama is known for the tranquility of its waters and also being one of the longest beaches in the Papagayo Gulf. It is safe for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking and many other water sports.
